Pruning

by on Mar.31, 2009, under Prophecies

by Marc Dupont

The Lord says that He loves us, and because He loves us He wants us to bear greater fruit. Because He wants us to bear greater fruit He is going to prune us. We are to know that this pruning is not a punishment, but those that He loves He prunes, just as a vine grower prunes not just the unfruitful vines, but especially the fruitful ones that are his favorites.

You have up to this point been a watering place for the Jordan during the time of John the Baptist I have brought the empty and the dry from all over the world in ways you formerly would not have believed them. I have brought them to you and you have been faithful. You have baptized them deep in My refreshing love and Joy. They have gone away intoxicated with Me and have effected many others all over the world. But know it is now the time for the John the Baptists to embrace a deeper death to self. Everything you have done, just as everything John did was of Me and for Me. But I did call for His ministry to cease so that the bigger ministry of my Son Jesus might begin. I say to you that if you will die to self, reputation, programs, and the way the river has been nourishing the peoples I will take you into an even greater baptism.

The Beauty of the Burnt Stone

by on Jan.31, 2008, under Marc's Musings, Prophecies

by Marc Dupont, January 2008

2008 is going to be a great year of blessings for many who have been faithful in loving and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Biblically speaking, the number eight is usually symbolic of new beginnings & open doors. It was with eight people that God made a new start after the flood. It was on the 8th day that Hebrew sons were circumcised symbolizing the covenant with God. The number eight, as it appears in Hebrew, actually looks like a door, or gateway, a way in.

2008 will be a year that God brings many into the “broad place” of 2 Samuel 22.20 (NASV) & Psalm 18.19 (NASV). It will be a place of blessings and freedom, as opposed to a place of restraint, Job 36.16 (NASV). It will be a season when many will experience more than their eyes have seen, ears heard, and their minds have understood (1 Cor. 2.9). It will also be a time of those who have, being given much more to the point of abundance (Matthew 25.29).

It will also, however, be a time when many who have made attempts before in serving God, or stepping out in faith in a particular area, only to have met with futility will be set up by God for a fresh opportunity to step into the desire of their hearts. One of the many fascinating characteristics of God is that He, in His great heart, is the god of multiple opportunities. Like with the apostle Peter denying the Lord Jesus three times in one night receiving complete forgiveness AND being re-commissioned for the apostolic call on his life. In fact, it was this same disciple that had denied Jesus publicly that then stood up on the day of Pentecost and preached the good news resulting in thousands being saved and the early church being birthed.

Integrity “A Hole in the Wall”

by on Nov.01, 2004, under Prophecies

by Marc Dupont, November 2004

An Appointed Time

In March of this year, after ministering in Melbourne, Australia, I took a day off to visit some friends in Sydney. On the ride to Manly Beach from the airport the Holy Spirit began to speak a word to me concerning integrity for those in church leadership around the globe. Some eight months later I am sensing it is time to release the word. One of the lessons I have learned the hard way over the years is to not give a word prematurely. Often the Lord will give a word well before the appointed time of release. This may be because intercessory prayer is necessary as part of the preparation or it may be that it will take the hearer of the word a bit of time to get the whole word. On occasion, it is because the Lord wants the messenger of that word to grow into the reality of the word before it’s released to others. For whatever reason, I have not sensed the timing of the Lord to release this until now. Usually when we think of an appointed time we think of a long awaited break through of blessings. An example would be the Lord telling Abraham that at the “appointed time” He would return and the long awaited child of promise would be born to Sarah. Psalm 102:13 tells us that, at God’s appointed time, He arises and has compassion on His people. Habakkuk, the prophet, encourages us to hang on to the visions God gives us because they will come to pass at the appointed time! Obviously God is good to His people all the time but there are certain appointed times of significant breakthrough. Certainly Jesus, the Messiah, came at an appointed time. The basic understanding of an appointed time is very simple. It is a time that God has fixed, or determined to release, or impart, something at a very particular date or season, according to His sovereignty. Whether we are prepared or not, if we are the intended recipients of that impartation we either experience it, or as with Jerusalem, we can miss the time of visitation or blessing. However, not only are there appointed times of blessings but, on occasion, those appointed times are seasons of judgment. Psalm 75, verse 2, reads: “When I select an appointed time, it is I who judge with equity.” Often when the body of Christ considers judgment and repentance we make two crucial errors. First, we think that His judgment is only reserved for the lost, or those outside of the church. 1 Peter tells us, however, that judgment does not start first with the lost, or nonbelievers. Rather, it starts first with the church (1 Peter 4:17). Second, we often misunderstand God’s intentions when He does release judgment on His sons and daughters. The Father’s heart for us is always one of restoration rather than destruction. Sometimes He wants to break us down so that He can build us up! We fall into this second misperception because we really don’t understand that God’s heart is so very much for us. When God revealed a bit of His glory to Moses in Exodus 34, He stated that He was “slow to anger”. Hebrews 12:11 reads: “All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness”. God is patient and longsuffering. There comes a time, however, when not out of anger but out of deep love and concern for us, He will release judgment for the sake of correction and healing. Usually, at that point, we (the sinners) are standing at a dangerous precipice. We can think of an extreme case of sin in the life of a Christian such as the man in the church in Corinth who was actually having sex with his own stepmother. Paul stated that he “decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh”. It is critical that we realize Paul’s motivation. He continued on in 1 Cor. 5:5, “…so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus”. In such cases, God’s purpose is not eternal damnation but rather to bring our hearts to repentance to come back to a place of wholeness in Christ. There is a certain sin Jesus spoke of that is unto eternal judgment – speaking evil of the Holy Spirit – but, generally speaking, this is a sin only a non-Christian would commit.

A Time for New Songs

by on Jan.31, 2000, under Prophecies

by Marc Dupont, January 2000

The Lord says that a New Song is being released to His people this year. God is breathing a fresh wind of prophetic creativity on the artists and worship leaders. This wind will fill the sails of many congregations with a deeper understanding in their hearts of the goodness and the purposes of God for His people and the world at this time.

The Lord showed me a funnel of His light coming down from Heaven towards those who have been seeking His face and waiting on Him. The funnel was coming in a downward spiral. All who were underneath it and around it began to be caught up in a greater clarity of the light of His Presence. A great freedom came to many to loose themselves in the love and freedom of the Holy Spirit. But, as this funnel landed on many I could see musical notes like on a song sheet begin to blow back up the funnel towards heaven.

The Lord says the Tabernacle of David is in the process of restoration. The Holy Spirit is releasing a hunger for the wisdom of worship that David and the Levites who ministered at David’s tabernacle walked in. Many who have never had an appetite for extended periods of prayer and worship are going to begin having a burning heart for ministering to the Lord, as Mary did, with extravagant worship. They are going to learn to take the precious perfume of the passion of their hearts and waste it on Jesus’ feet. But as they do this the perfume of the sweetness of Jesus’ Presence is going to begin to fill houses of worship in a deeper way. Many congregations are going to start spending what formerly would have seemed inordinate amounts time singing, praying, dancing, and just being in His Presence.

1999; The Chosen Year of Rest

by on Feb.01, 1999, under Prophecies

by Marc Dupont, February 1999

This is to be a year of rest for many leaders. But not rest as you formerly have thought of rest. Many of my leaders are tired for many different reasons. Some are tired because they have been fighting the good fight. Some are tired because they do not understand that true ministry only takes place by My Spirit, not from your own might or power. Some are tired because they have been pursuing their own agendas and because they have been doing their things instead of My things there has been no anointing to bring about their dreams. Indeed, many leader’s dreams are derived from their own ambitions which are worldly and demonic. Those in bondage to self have reaped what they have sown and their churches are filled with division, pride, backbiting, slander, and gossip.

However, I know the plans I have for those I have chosen. Plans not for frustration or calamity, but to prosper you and my harvest. Indeed, I desire to make ministry a joy and blessing to your soul rather than a constant drain on your strength and vision. If you will let me, I want to teach you a new rest. A rest you have heard of but seldom experienced. I want to teach you to rest in and with Me. I have ceased from My labors and have entered into My rest. And I am calling you to join Me in that rest. I am calling you to let go of the yokes of religious toil and strife and enter into the yoke and rest of My Holy Spirit.

If you will let Me teach you how to approach me not merely as a slave, but as sons and friends, I will call you and lead you beside the still waters. I will make you to lie down in the rich green pastures. Indeed, I will set a table before you in the midst of your enemies.

Forerunners

by on Jul.31, 1998, under Prophecies

by Carolyn Allen, July 1998

I saw a special troop (it wasn’t the whole body of Christ, but a select troop) of believers going through a line one by one receiving a pair of running shoes and a scroll. The shoes were put on immediately by each person as they received them and then the scroll was placed in their hands. The Lord kept telling me to remember the ministry of John the Baptist. John was sent to prepare the way of the Lord Jesus Christ. He preached and practiced a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. There was a boldness and tenacity expressed in his ministry. He knew his specific place and message and he was faithful to it in the face of cultural opposition. Just as John the Baptist was required to be bold and to do and say things considered “weird” by his culture, this troop will have a ministry such as his. They will preach the Kingdom with such fervor that the Kingdom of God will advance forcefully. (Mt. ll:ll-15) Many will come out of the desert regions (dry, void of the presence of God and His life) to repent of their sins and to be baptized. (Mark 1:4)

The running shoes were given the by Lord for protection and provision so the troop could carry our their assignment with perseverance and endurance. Each one put on their own shoes (indicating they had to make the choice to receive the grace of the “spirit of running” being offered.) As each one opened the scroll and read they saw a personal message of love from the Abba Father. Their hearts were pierced and they began to weep so great was their realization that God loved them personally. (This knowing of the love of the Father is an absolute must for the ministry of this troop. For the message of the Kingdom to be as forceful as what God is desiring and calling forth, one must preach out of compassion. It is interesting to note John’s name means “The Lord is gracious”.)

The Sword of the Lord

by on Jan.31, 1997, under Prophecies

Prophecy by Carol Arnott. January 1997

When Randy Clark announced his sermon title “The Making of a Warrior” the Spirit fell powerfully on many people and especially on Carol Arnott. For about twenty minutes, while on the floor, she was slashing violently with a two handed sword in her hands (her hands together as if holding a sword) After Randy finished his message, she got up and powerfully delivered the following prophecy.

“This is My sword, this is not man’s sword, this is My golden sword. The ways you have been using My weapons, the methods that you have been using in the past, you are to throw them away because I am giving you My sword now and the old ways of doing things will not do. The old methods will not be acceptable to Me anymore because I am doing a new thing. Do not look to the yesterdays but look to the future because I am doing a new thing and this new way is not the old.

This new way is new and you must throw away the old ways of doing things and take up My sword because My sword is made of pure gold and is purer and is mighty. If you wield it the captives will be set free, the chains will be broken and the healings will be manifest because it will not be by might, nor by power, but by My wonderful Holy Spirit. It is by Him, it is by Him that this new wave will be brought forth, it is by Him that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will ride again.

In this next wave I am requiring those who take up this golden sword to be refined, to be pure, to have all the dross refined in the fire because if you take this sword and there is secret sin in your life this sword will kill you. This next wave is no joke. It is not a laughing matter. All those who do not want to give up their sin and are fearful, like Gideon’s men, stand back, because I am calling men and women in these next days that will allow me to refine them, that will allow me to chasten, but not with anger because I am a loving God. I am a God full of mercy but I am serious as the time is short. The bridegroom is most anxious for His bride, so those of you that will, let Me refine you and come and take up that golden sword for I will use you in ways, I will use you in ways that you can’t imagine, but I must purify you first.”
